Technical Requirements for Puppet Shows

The Spring Valley Puppet Theater provides all equipment needed including puppet stage, sound system and lighting.

The puppet theater needs an indoor floor area 12' to 20' wide by 6' deep with a 10' ceiling height. (A 9' ceiling height can be accommodated if there are no ceiling obstructions, such as lighting fixtures, beams, etc., within the performance area.)

It is best if the puppet stage can be set up on floor level, rather than on a raised platform, true auditoriums being the exception.

Set up time is two hours. Take down time is one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes.

The audience should be seated at least 10' away from the puppet stage in order to see properly.

A room which can be darkened is preferable.
An electrical outlet close to the performance area is necessary.
